ABOUT THE MAKER

My name is Jonathan Medrano and I'm a professional creative that is passionate about inspiring design. I've been married to the love of my life, Risa, for over 15 years and have two beautiful teenage daughters, Amya and Layla. These three ladies are the driving force behind all my hard work and the purpose that fuels my passion. 

 

Anyone with tools can make stuff. What makes CFG different is great design.  When a customer has a request for a project I take the time to speak with them to not only ensure that I come up with the right solution, but I apply my 15 years of graphic design experience to come up with a professional design for their project. I am obsessed with fine attention to detail and that is reflected in every piece I complete. Thinking outside the box and striving to venture into the unknown can be both rewarding and very scary at the same time. One of my favorite quotes is, "Creativity takes courage". This is so true, especially for perfectionists like me because the possibility of failure is ever present when trying something you've never done before. But the reward of pushing yourself beyond your perceived limits is so gratifying and truly the only path to growth.

 

While I am able to ship across the USA, every product is customized here in Mesa, Arizona. Many of the goods I produce are made with a Glowforge laser cutter which allows me to cut and engrave a number of materials such as hardwood, plywood, acrylic, marble, slate, leather, glass, tile and more.
